About the role and tasks

As a support educator, you work to improve and guide the educational work. You work as part of the team where regular work occurs while you are an extra support for employees.

In the role of support educator, you have allocated time for educational work, which may include guiding employees in challenging work situations, updating yourself on the latest studies on clear pedagogy, guiding documentation, or collaborating with other support educators.

To succeed in the role, you embody our values: listen, learn, and lead, where you, together with our support assistants and educational coordinators, support our users to live the life they desire.

About us

Within LSS in Lund Municipality, we support people with disabilities of all ages. You can work with adults in group homes or service housing where we support users in their daily lives with, for example, cooking, cleaning, as well as leisure and cultural activities, or daily activities where we offer meaningful employment based on the user's needs and wishes.

We also offer short-term supervision and short-term stays for children, adolescents, and young adults with autism and other disabilities aged 4 and up. Here we provide recreation and leisure activities that give you both physical and mental stimulation, as well as opportunities for environmental change, stimulation, and community with others.

The operations, apart from daily activities, are open around the clock every day of the week, which means working day/evening and every other weekend. Night shifts may occur in some units.

We are looking for you who

• Has post-secondary specialization in the area of disabilities that includes at least 200 YH points or 60 university credits or a combination thereof that corresponds to at least two semesters of full-time studies.
• Has experience working with the target group and LSS operations.
• Has good knowledge and experience of clear pedagogy/TEACH.
• Has good knowledge and experience of low-arousal approaches.
• Can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Good knowledge of relevant documentation tools.
• Basic knowledge of digital work tools.

In some units, a driver's license is required.
